Benningham to Bellingham

After leaving Seattle we went to Bellingham, just south of the Canadian border. The weather was splendid and atmosphere grand. Apparently, it was the first time all year the sun had appeared for the greater part of the day, which made the energy among locals very positive. We went to a farmer’s market on Saturday and I was entertained by all I encountered. Some highlights include a dead barbie in the hotel parking lot, the tiger and wolf curtains (an ode to 3-wolf-moon t-shirts), pink plastic flamingos, shade, devoured smoked salmon (a local delicacy), dyed hair, an old man with really sweet glasses/shades, twin dogs, and an angry banana that made me a juice. Bellingham rocks! Go if you have never been.
